Not having to pay rent for 12 Months sounds pretty sweet right?

Jodi was the winner of our recent Win 12 Months’ Rent Competition, and is now on the verge of owning her first home. 

“I’m sick of paying rent to a landlord instead of paying off my own home; it’s been a real driving factor,” Jodi says. 

Soaking up the chill, beachy lifestyle (coffee on a Saturday morning by the coast, anyone?) Jodi is building a cosy new home in Alkimos. 

She’s super keen to ditch her rental.

When you consider that the current cost of rent is at $550 per week (Source: REIWA), we don’t blame her (especially that, as recently as October 2021, this figure sat at a cosy $450 a week).

“I decided that building was the better option for me, rather than buying a home that was already built, so that I could have a home that suited my lifestyle.”
